The good news that the new edition of 60 Hikes within 60 Miles: Harrisburg is now published and for sale. In fact, it has been since early this summer. Ironically, because I have been out of the country for the past four months, I hadn’t even seen it until I visited the dentist the other day and she had a copy in her office! It’s a really nice new edition with updated information on all of the hikes, a bunch of new photographs, and I swapped out 10 hikes from the first edition for some new ones. One of my favorite new hikes is the Mount Holly Marsh Preserve near Boiling Springs. I also added a nice long loop out at the Clarence Schock Memorial Park over in Mount Gretna that includes Governor Dick and the trails out east of the lookout tower. So check it out at Menasha Ridge Press, Amazon, or other leading booksellers.
