More good news is that the second edition of Best Tent Camping: PA has just gone to press. This edition is an extensive reworking of the first edition, with a dozen new camping areas. I’ve included a couple of campgrounds way up in the northeast Poconos, an area that was under-represented in the first edition. I’ve also included information on several state forest campsites that are about as rustic as you can get and still be within walking distance of the car. Each profile includes directions and GPS coordinates; information about available facilities, ADA accessibility, fees, and how to make reservation. Each also includes a detailed campground map. The book will be out in time for the holidays, so keep your eyes open. You can pre-order it from Amazon, who lists an arrival date of November 15.
