For the past five years I’ve been making an annual pilgrimage to the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, that section of coastline that extends from east from Halifax for about 120 miles or so to Canso. Aside from a lot of time to think and just be, the place has offered me some wonderful opportunities to be part of a community of great people and to do some exploring, especially via sea kayak. I’ll be giving a presentation on the Eastern Shore on Tuesday, November 29, at the Annville Free Library ( 216 E Main St, Annville, PA 17003). Presentation starts at 6:30 p.m. and it runs about 45 minutes. There will be slides, music, and a nice introduction to this infrequently visited part of Nova Scotia. Come on down and have a look. Here is a small slide show of photographs from the area.
Gorgeous photos, Matt!
Very evocative photos of the Eastern Shore, Matt, and I loved reading “the story” of how you have evolved. I am so glad you followed your heart — to our part of Nova Scotia and the other places you’ve been called — and that you now feel your work is significant. It is! Good for you!!
